Only in America can a man convicted of 34 felon counts become President, the most powerful man on earth. And we say we are a democracy? True, the People spoke and voted for him in our last elections, but doesn’t the rule of law matter anymore?
This proves one thing: the theory that nobody is above the law is BS. Trump has not only defied the courts, but has in the last couple of years showed disgusting contempt for the rule of law.
From here on, will America be in a position to morally reign in dictators and the thieves and scoundrels in the Banana Republics out there? I say not.
Trump is NOT morally fit to hold any public office. Among his crimes are paying an adult porn star $130,000 for an encounter that lasted but a few hours, then disguising it for tax purposes as a business expense. Falsifying his business records to avoid paying taxes. And the list goes on. The man is a moral delinquent.
Here is what his former Senior Aides have said about Trump: He is a “Fascist”, “Conman”, “Predator”, and a “Cheat”. These include Trump’s former Vice President Mike Pence, former Chief of Staff Marine Corps Gen John Kelly, who also called Trump an “idiot.” And the head of a “Crazytown” administration.
Gen Mark Miley, former Chair of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the most senior officer in the US military has called his former boss a “fascist to the core” and was doing “great and irreparable harm”
Mark Esper, former Secretary of Defense said that Trump “has those inclinations” towards fascism: “I think it’s something we should be wary about.”
America, we are in a dark place, and the next four years beginning on January 20, 2025 when Trump is sworn for his second stint are going to be calamitous.
Former Defense Secretary, Gen James Mattis had this to say, Trump makes a “mockery of our constitution.”
Not to be outdone, Trump’s former National Security Adviser, John Bolton and former Ambassador to the UN, said Trump is “unfit to be president” and “hasn’t got the brains” for a dictatorship.
Rex Tillerson, former Secretary of State under Trump said it best. Trump is “pretty undisciplined – doesn’t like to read, doesn’t read briefing reports” and added: “His understanding of global events (and) his understanding of US history was really limited.”
They say democracy is messy, and in the words of Sir Winston Churchill “ Democracy is the worst form of government, except for all the others.”.
The world is watching with bated breath, because Trump is not only unhinged, but he does not have the interests of the country at heart. It is all about himself, his family and the cabal of his billionaire friends, most of whom also have a distorted and selfish view of the world.
When Trump is sworn in on January 20, 2025, he will be 78 years and 7 months old, and at the end of his term he will be 82 years and 7 months, the oldest American president ever. He is already showing cognitive defects and that is concerning. The other day he said that he wants to make Canada the 51st state of the US. He wants to buy Greenland, and attack the Panama Canal and assume control. Is he out of his mind, is he serious? It is very worrying.
Trump has promised to revenge against his political opponents after he is sworn in. We must take him seriously. These are words you expect from Vladimir Putin or Kim Jong Un, not an American president. He did promise to be a dictator for one day in his second presidency.
At the end of the day a country deserves a president they vote for. But American democracy has been wounded, and this beautiful country, The Land of the free and the Home of the Brave, better pay attention. The patient is on oxygen.
