R– USESABAGINA DENIES GENOCIDE AGAINST TUTSI — IN ISRAEL.

Yes, you cannot make this stuff up.

In a recent visit to Israel, under his usual claim of being a “hero” claiming to have saved 1,268 people at the height of the genocide against Tutsi in 1994, Rusesabagina stated that the Shoah (Holocaust) was different from the genocide against Tutsi, and that under no circumstances should the two be compared.

This is astounding. But when you put it all in context and consider the source, you almost have to let it pass. Except we are talking about a genocide denier, a negationist and absolute conman who has made a fortune telling lies and milking his Hollywood fame for all it is worth.

Addressing his fans after his talk, Rusesabagina said that “ Nazis came and killed Jews without cause or mercy.”

Is that not what INTERAHAMWE did to the Tutsi?

Student of history he is not, and with limited schooling, one is tempted to excuse Rusesabagina. But in the last fourteen years the man has polished his talks, and depending on his audience, his language changes, not to say anything about his tendency to embellish and fabricate facts.

That he was saying this in Israel is unnerving. But all along Rusesabagina has exploited “Hotel Rwanda” and the presidential medal he was awarded by President George Bush — who was obviously misled about Rusesabagina’s role during the genocide against Tutsi. These two factors tend to hoodwink Western audiences that are swayed by publicity stunts.

How long will he go on repeating the same lies? I guess as long as there are un-suspecting people willing to oil his mercenary enterprise.

Ready for this ? Rusesabagina says that the “genocide was a result of the war” by invaders from Uganda.

Never does he ever say “genocide against Tutsi”. No, all the killings and mayhem was as a result of the war. If this is not denying the genocide against Tutsi I don’t know what is.

Rusesabagina is a dangerous man, an opportunist who obviously misses the old Rwanda. His dog whistles expose his mentality and philosophy. But the more he speaks and muddles his facts, the more his true self gets exposed.

Referring to the invasion and fall of Kigali when the RPA stopped the genocide, Rusesabagina says “the war ended.”

But here is the clincher: with his Tutsi wife (Tatania) always by his side, as if to show case him, Rusesabagina wants his audiences to think that because he has a Tutsi wife he cannot be a negationist, and is not going to hell. And the wife goes along. I will spare her, for now.

But how many extremists, and even INTERAHAMWE were married to Tutsi women? How many of them in the end killed them, along with their children?

The misfortune of some often results in the enrichment of others. Where would Rusesabagina be today had millions not perished? His words are hurtful to survivors and a dagger in our hearts.

But he ought to heed the Cameroonian proverb: “Do not step on the dog’s tail and he will not bite you.”

Rwanda chooses to water the thorn for the sake of the rose.
